Kitty Out.

Dear Blog-type peeps...

I am Outtie. (and not just of the closet)

Vacation (part 2) starts...


...NOW!

Heading to Québec City tonight.

Tomorrow morning, Sainte Anne-de-Beaupré to say a prayer for my Dad, and then we keep heading East til we arrive at my Parents in Cole Harbour.

...And then after... a couple of days the peace and serenity at our summer home in Hampton PEI.

I will be computer-free until Monday Sept 3rd, at which point I will regale you all with pics and stories of all the lobster we ate, the incredible sunsets we saw and all the fun-ness that vacations entail...

    Ticklebear - you will not get ANY interuptions from me at 5AM. I am in LA LA land at that time.

    As for my week, it was so busy... lots of people on holidays during this time of year and the ones that are left are "lucky enough to pick up the slack". Lucky MY A@*!!

    In any case, I got to do some shopping in far away lands in between that hectic schedule and so it wasn't a completely lost cause.

    Now a question for you dudes...
    Hubby is looking at trading in his vehicle (mazda minivan) for something else and we have several vehicles on the radar. Any input would be appreciated and taken into consideration.

    1) H3
    2) TOYOTA FJ CRUISER
    3) Lexus IS250
    4) Infiniti G35
    5) Mazda CX-7

    I am kinda leaning towards the Mazda cause its roomy and a 4 cylinder engine (Fuel efficiency). Plus, price wise better. Whattcha guys thinky??

    Just logged on after making breakfast (eggs and toast) for my honey and me... and the dog got scraps.
    About to have my 2nd cup of coffee.
    Weekends are special that way. I limit myself to one cup on weekdays... weekends I let myself have an extra.
    Sun is shining in Ottawa!
    Hot air balloon festival is on. Was gonna catch that at sunrise, but unlike Ticklebear I just can't face the world that early.
    Cudos Tickelbear! Sunrise is one of the BEST events of the day to witness.

    I too know jack sh#t about cars.

    What I DO know is that I leased a Hyunday SantaFe SUV in 2002 and LOVED it so much I leased a 2006 model last year and love it too!

    Not one problem! Roomy, yet small enough to handle like a car... and gooder on gas than a lot of SUV's.

    That said, my father in law is on his 2nd Mazda and has loved each of them!

    Watching the sunrise was the only neat thing about working the overnight shift on the radio station.

    These days I've been waking up on time each morning (right at 5:50am)to see the orange, pink and yellow glow of the sun about to rise.

    I honestly thought that my system was just programming itself to wake up that early each day.

    The other morning I set my alarm to be up at 4:30am so I could watch the lunar eclipse. A while later, I heard my next door neighbour's alarm go off. It was 5:50 am. The exact time I had been waking up each morning. Seems my old bones don't know jack sh#t about waking up early on their own. LOL!

    i got a pic on my blog, but it's only half the eclipse, because it slipped too quickly toward the horizon, hiding behind the hotel (which i should have burned down a week prior to that, had i known...)
    & thus, missing the full eclipse by barely a minute or so...
