Christmas Lurv - two
No aside from JB I'm not sure who's gonna get the true, deep and terribly realistic beauty of this clip from Codco. But as much as it's sad, it's friggin' hilarious... and I can so see my relatives in every sketch they ever did.
It's not your typical Christmas clip, but in my mind it's a Classic!

That is funny, in a sad kind of way.
See the chair the old bird's sittin' in? I had the chesterfield and chair just like that, until I junked them when I moved to my Dee-luxe Apartment. I inherited them from my grandparents.
Tommy and Greg were brilliant - two of the funniest people on the planet. "Giftid, day war, bye."
I learned how to do a Ronald Reagan impression from watching Greg. One of the best nights at a bar I ever had was watching the Wonderful Grand Band perform at The Copper Penny. As everyone knows, when you see a live band in a club or a bar, there's always about 40 minutes between sets. With WGB, there were no breaks, because Tommy and Greg and whoever else were part of what became known as Codco at the time would perform between sets. The crowd at the bar would have been fine if the band never came back on stage, and just the comedy continued through the night, but - to be fair to the band - they were very good, too, so it made for an incredible night.
So... NGB, who's you inherit your new furniture from then?
JB, Codco were absolute comedic geniuses! I loved Mary and Cathy together.. c'mon... 'Friday Night Girls' Trust me that is a catch phrase STILL altogether frequently used by maritime fags... there and abroad... including moi! And you're right, Tommy and Greg were amazing. I had (an obvious preference) for 'Duncan and Jerome. Queens, Councillors' and my gawwwwd, Tommy as 'Marge at the Mental', or Greg as 'Barbara Frum'... I really misses dem!
...but you can't find Codco on DVD for love or money... I swear I wouldn't even look at the price tag, I'd buy every season, sight unseen!
Anyhoo... Stay tuned for more Christmas dysFUNction! hehe
