Here we go again...

OK well not really...

This is going to be a Staycation, but I AM off work til Monday the 14th! :-)

Kitty is on the vaycay for a week...

Actually this will be a very special Vaycay and Thanksgiving... I've been in Montréal just a little over 217 years and this will be the first time my family (any of my family) had some to visit.

Dad's health is all over the board again. He was rushed to Hospital last week again. They thought he was having a heart attack. It turns out it was only an infection to the lining of his heart... I KNOW! that doesn't sound good, but seriously it's far better than a heart attack or a stroke!... it's just that he only received permission from his Doctors as of 4 pm yesterday to still be allowed to travel up here to Montréal.

So will be stuffing our collective faces on Monday, and taking little visits around the city, and an overnight trip to Québec City, but no hard core touristic stuff, cause the old man is an old man and needs his nap time... which is ok cause Mom and Didier and I will go shopping! lol

I'll post throughout the week, somehow, some way... so yea, I'm n the vaycay but I'll be around...

day at the beach...

Had a couple hours to kill at the beach today...

Yes Virgina, there IS a Potato Museum...

Considering that Agriculture -more specifically POTATOES- are a major industry here on PEI, it's no wonder then, that they have the worlds largest Potato. ...in front of the Prince Edward Island Potato Museum, naturally...

The giant potato is made of fiberglass and stands 14 feet high and is 7 feet in diameter.

As stated on their website... "This is a very popular spot for picture taking." ...well that goes without saying!

Ostensively, this is Mecca to the Irish.

Were off to the family's summer beach house on PEI. This will be our view for the next ten days...

Vacation (part 2) starts...

...NOW!

Heading to Québec City tonight.

Tomorrow morning, Sainte Anne-de-Beaupré to say a prayer for my Dad, and then we keep heading East til we arrive at my Parents in Cole Harbour.

...And then after... a couple of days the peace and serenity at our summer home in Hampton PEI.

I will be computer-free until Monday Sept 3rd, at which point I will regale you all with pics and stories of all the lobster we ate, the incredible sunsets we saw and all the fun-ness that vacations entail...
