As I was headed over to Place Vertu for lunch today an interesting incident occurred.
There is a well defined Crosswalk (in YELLOW!) and with a speed bum, that ALSO has a stop sign in front of the main entrance. In general I don’t bother looking I just walk across (Well I do keep an eye open to the periphery…) so a car is approaching but I’m ½ way across before they get to the crossing. He slams on the breaks and then yells out his window “You’re welcome asshole!” Oh no he Di’nt (Oh Yes, he did)
I turn around, now across the road and say “what for?!”
He replies, “Because I stopped so I wouldn’t hit you.”
Well… it is ON now!
I reply in turn “Excuse me? There’s a speed bump AND a stop sign. You HAVE to stop. So fuck you asshole!”
But sometimes they haven’t yet learned their lesson, and they continue…
“Why don’t you come over here and say that!” he challenges…
Ok… I’m invested now… I start walking towards him and throw my umbrella over my shoulder. (this is where it gets good people…) As I am approaching, he hits the gas without looking, ends up clipping the back bumper of a car that is turning in front of him.
With my work done… I head back to the mall, and as I’m walking away laughing I turn and say “That’s call Karma bitch. Eat it!”
