When bad things happen to good computers...

First the good news... both my computer babies are back in the land of the living.

Now the bad... the laptop is not going to make it. The screen is starting to go, and well, being a laptop, once the screen goes, so too does the laptop... The cost of replacing a screen on a laptop is pointless... The issue now is what sort of 'golden years' will the laptop have? Could be a day, week, month, year... ya just don't know...

What I do know is that I'll be putting money aside for a new one... preparing for the inevitable... (I've already copied off all the data I need... pics, music files etc... ) Now it's just a waiting game. I'm hoping for the best and will be taking her with us on vacation next week... one last HORRAH, to copy pics from Camera to Disk. - as this will be the first summertime visit to Nova Scotia and his first to PEI ever, there will be lots of pics! (not promising any posts before Sept 3rd but then, you never know)

Bless you for making Laptop's final days memorable ones. May he enjoy those final days wrapped in your love, and eventually rest in peace in that place in the sky where laptops go.

Sleep well, Sweet Laptop. Your work here is almost done, and your eternal reward is awaiting you.

Yea... it's sad.

I have to check if the place I've donated my old computers will be able to use what will be it's earthly remains... I guess he could make a good computer organ donor...
