An Empty Bed

Someone's bed is empty tonight...

Santiago alas, is spending the night at l'Hôpital Vétérinaire LaSalle. Today he went in for the dreaded of all dreaded operations... the big SNIP-SNIP. I know it's the responsible thing to do but we still feel bad and we miss him something fierce... it's the first time we've been here without him since he came into our lives back on Dec 19th...

I just hope he's not too pissed at us tomorrow when we bring him back home...

He won't be pissed at you. He'll be all seepy-seepy-tired and happy to be home in your arms.

I know how you feel ...if it is any consolation, Wizzy came through with flying colors....and it the right thing to do .

Oh I now it's TOTALLY the right thing to do, and I know it's all in my head, but if I were him, there wouldn't be a dry surface (below say, 6 inches)

And part of me hopes he is all seepy seepy but I doubt it, he's generally such a spitfirte and it's already been a day

Siiiiigghhhh. Part of him -- actually, two parts -- will never lie in that bed ever again.

I hope he makes a speedy recovery. The recently deceased Grumpy had his plums removed too and became a bit docile afterwards, he no longer growled when you picked him up, he also had his vocal chords cut in 1991 to stop his awful yapping.

VOCAL CORDS?!?!?
And I continue to obsess over whether I should have Coffee The Prettiest Cat Ever declawed...
