Where it's snowing all Winter through, that's where I want to be.

Well, we're getting not only the first real amount of snow this Winter here in Montréal, but a proper amount is expected 20-25 cms...

What better way to celebrate than with Bing Crosby, Rosemary Clooney, Danny Kaye and Vera-Ellen ...

Tah-Dah!

After 2.5 hours here we have the completed Tat.

This was drawn free-hand by the tattooist based on an initial concept by yours truly.

I am so completely over-joyed by this one. It is 1000 times better than even I thought it would be.

If you're in Mtl or gonna be in Mtl and are looking for some work I'd glady put you in touch with the artist Alex Boudreau.

I've already got 5 more in the works. Upper back, inner lower arms and both feet. And it won't stop there I am sure!

Kitty Joy

Thanks to Mitzi I was reminded of my all time, ever favourite clip from the Vicar of Dibley. -If you don't know thew Vicar, you really ought to. It's such damned good fun.

Music...

...makes the people come together,
Music mix the bourgeoisie and the rebels
,
but most importantly...
makes the Kitty happy.

Honestly, I don't think the repeat option on my iTouch is good for my OCD. For just as I can watch most of my DVD collection again and again and again (records include watching Connie and Carla 5 tines in succession, and watching National Lampoons Christmas Vacation from 8 am til 2 am the following morning on a none-stop loop) When I find just the right song, I can listen to it in an endless loop. Picture if you will "The song that never ends" by Lambchop and company...

What has been making Kitty infinitely happy on the inside and doing it's Calgon Duty on my commute to and from the office... MOST ESPECIALLY *FROM* the office are the following songs:

-FUCK YOU, Lily Allen
Great sound, fun, camp and to the point, no shit lyrics that inspire an almost zen-like state in me...

-MY SWEET LORD, Boy George
I do love me some George Harrison, but this version adds just a slight fabulous dimension that even one of the fab Four didn't give me...

-LET THE SUNSHINE IN, Army of Lovers
Ending the debate as to whether or not I am really and truly gay.

-VALERIE, Amy Winehouse
I can only pray the gurl gets her act together and puts out MORE music.

-RELAX (take it Easy), Mika
At one time I simply could not abide Mika.. but, then I grew...

-COMFORTABLY NUMB, the Scissor Sisters
This speaks to me in ways that Pink Floyd could never do.

And a couple Albums...

-FLASHBACK, Björn Again
OMG! OMG! OMG! I've seen Björn Again in person and they were indeed ABBAsolutely Fabuous, but then they take it a step further in their album where they do covers of other artists songs as if preformed by ABBA and they bloody well rock!...
...Woman in Love (Diana Ross)
...Stop (Erasure)
...Band of Gold (Freda Payne)
...When Will I See You Again (the Three Degrees)
...A Little Respect (Erasure)
...Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow (the Shirelles)
THIS ALBUM is is musical GENIUS!... and I thank Scooter for bringing this to my attention.

-ABBA METAL (A tribute to ABBA),Various Artists.
OMFG! OMFG! OMFG! This is an album you have to hear to believe, and I can assure it it's phenomenally addictive... ABBA METAL is a tribute album of ABBA songs played by a variety of heavy metal and hard rock bands, released in 2001 by a German record label: Nuclear Blast. There is just something inexplicably enjoyable about mixing ABBA music with Heavy Metal drums, guitar and vocals... and it SO works.. THIS is was REALLY de-stresses me as I leave the office. Do yourselves the favour and search it out.. buy it, download it.. com eon over to our place if you must, but you MUST give it a chance.

-YES!, the Pet Shop Boys
I've previously commented on their first single "LOVE etc." and as much as I love the song, the album as a whole is exponentially more enjoyable as a whole.

Music.

Kitty's Favourite Things - one

"Raindrops on roses,
and whiskers on kittens.
Bright copper kettles,
and warm woollen mittens..."

Yea it's a cute song, and it's from one of my all time favourite movies of all time, but well, they AREN'T really MY favourite things.

But I feel like, I should share some of those with you. (in this and future posts)

I'm going to start with one of my newest and most favourite things ever. I received it as a Christmas Gift from friends in Ottawa. Shawn and Warren. Now I don't see these guys often, in fact I've spent more time online chatting with them over the years than I've spent with them in person, but they're super sweet guys, and it's fun to hang with them when I can.

Shawn, (great name eh?) he knows of my Leopard Print fetish, and so when he found the following, he picked it up. Now, I don't think he thought I'd like it as much as I did, but well, sometimes it REALLY is the simple things in life...

Awwww yea... it's a faux leopard fur sleep mask.

Now let me just say this... My Man has a sleep mask that he wears when we're away and the room we sleep in is not that dark. We both love a dark room for sleeping... If the room is not dark, he NEEDS that mask, but me, I can manage without the mask... or so I thought!

When we got home the night I received the gift (Dec 31) I hung it on the headboard; more as a joke, but then... a night or so later I thought... what the hell, lets giver' and I put the mask on. Now at first I thought it was a coincidence, but that was one GREAT NIGHT'S SLEEP... I'm a tosser and a turner... and wake up frequently... but that night I swear, I slept right through, can only recall waking up the once and woke up in practically the same position as I fell asleep.

So I wore it the next night and the night after that, and you know what... every single night I've worn it I'd have incredibly restful sleep.

Not only is is incredibly comfortable, and OH so fashionable (heh) but it helps me have the most wonderful peaceful sleeps... and so that is why, this Faux Leopard Fur Sleep Mask is one of my favourite things.

And as I've been sick lately this has REALLY come in handy, especially today. I stayed home today (boss' orders) I went to the clinic, waited 2.5 hours to be told... "It's just a cold" to which I replied "Really? I doubt it, but you're the professional. My guess is I end up seeing another Dr in a day or so. Thanks." I've now been sick since Dec 27th, hacking and coughing each night... no muck or gunk, just lots of coughing and now a lot of congestion and sinus headache. OK YES I have a colud... but when is that last time YOU had a cold that started as over two weeks of a dry hacking cough and THEN congestion... ANYHOO... so as I was burnt out when I got back from the Dr's I took my 2nd nap of the day, helped by non other than my new magical mask!

So what's your most favourite thing right now?
