Exit, stage left - hear no evil...

So lets see...

Marlee is deaf. And the judges are blind and dumb...

It's a real shame that Marlee was sent home tonight. Personally I've been voting for her because I felt the judges had been too hard on her, AND because I bloody well thought she'd deserved to stay. Send Jason and Mario the hell home I say.

I cannot imagine what it must have been like, week after week to do what she did without the ability to hear the music she danced to. True the judges commented on this, often actually, almost to the point where if they said something inspiring about her being deaf, then they could just move on. I think even Marlee would have appreciated at least one night without one of the judges commented on the fact. And what an inspiration to not only those with hearing disabilities but to everyone. What a challenge it was for her, and look how well and how far she came.

Sad to see ya go Marlee, hope you don't mind if I give Marissa your votes from this point on...

I actually couldn't watch it last night -- couldn't bear the thought of Smugly.

The show is starting to irritate me -- I am with you on the Marlee comments -- there is no acceptance of a "disability" if it is constantly commented on, much like race, religion, or orientation. Even tonight, they had to bring up the fact that the 12-year old was deaf in one ear, and comment on how she must "understand" Marlee. Grrr. Too tired to be more coherent.
