The Ghost of Bloggings Past

Hello Kittens...

I'm back... and yes I think it's for good this time...

It seems I may have been a little premature in my blog return back in Mid September... but then well I hadn't quite fully completed the transition... NO Kittens not THAT transition... the move from what was once my home... with Didier and Santiago, to my, I mean our new home ... Me and Santiago that is.

As way of recap: Didier and I broke up on Aug 2nd.

That makes this Homo a Lone-o... well save for my little Senor, who is both my saviour and my strength.

So we moved into the new digs back on Saturday September 26th, but the move was only completed on Thursday October 1st. With the majority of the unpacking only completed on Sunday October 4th...

...and then KAAPOWEE!

On Monday my world limped to a halt. I began suffering some nasty pain back last Sunday and my mid-Monday morning it was becoming unbearable. By the time I got home Monday night I called begging my new neighbours (and long time friends) Kenny and Richard to take me over to the Mtl General Emergency... At that point I pretty much knew I was giving birth to a Hernia... I guess I just wanted help with the after birth...

Five and a half hours later, my labour was complete and I was indeed now the father to a brand new bouncing baby Inguinal Hernia... look it up, it's NARSTY!

On the down side, there's not much to be done at this stage... it's neither large enough or pronounced enough (AKA it hasn't completely broken through my abdominal wall and os not causing an abnormally large bulge in my otherwise average bulge areas...). On the plus side I was prescribed 3 days rest and some KICK ASS pain killers...

Hydromorphone are AMAZING! On Tuesday morning, I slept through my alarm for an HOUR (it was buzzing the whole time) and 3 mini alarms on my iTouch.

Hydromorphone, a more common synonym for dihydromorphinone and dimorphone AKA Dilaudid, commonly a hydrochloride; is a potent centrally-acting analgesic drug of the opioid class. It is a derivative of morphine, specifically a hydrogenated ketone thereof and... therefore a semi-synthetic drug. It is both medically an opiate analgesic and legally a narcotic. No effing wonder I love my new med so much!

SO that took me to Friday... back to work (under the meds) and poof it's a three day weekend.

Well at this point all the boxes are empty and everything put away... all things stored, and all pictures on the wall... our new Apartment... is a home...

SO that pretty much brings us up to date... it's onwards and upwards...

Welcome back to the Kittydome ya'll... I've missed you all!

So we now return you to our regularily scheduled blog coplete with all it's useless posts and filler...

Welcome Back Kitty, I've missed you!

TB... Dilaudids are more than Magic... they are the Xanadu of drugs!

Time heals all wounds... Dilaudid just helps you push some of the pain away... and that's a good thing!

Sorry to hear about your hernia kitty. I didn't read that far down your post cause I didn't have my readers on. Anyway I hope your better now. Did you have to wear a truss?
