TAAAAAA-DAH!
Well it's a long time coming... Basically I started working on "Operation Fabulous" back on Saturday August 29th laying the ground work of two weeks "staycation" Painting and papering and otherwise making a hovel a home. I posted some "before and Afters" before ... and now 44 days later.... I give to you...
The Final reveal of My and Santiago's new home:
The Lispine Chapel of Saint Sebastian.
Why "The Lispine Chapel of Saint Sebastian"?
Here's why... to be honest I like the substitution of Lispine in place of Sistine... and seeing as there are currently 27 photos, paintings, icons and images of Saint Sebastian, I thought the quasi-religious name seemed appropriate...
The stairway to my Haven...

There are still a coupler things to do... ie the curtains still need to be hemmed in all the rooms (except the bedroom) but that's next weekend's project.
And if you want to see what makes this place Santiago's home... check out his blog and see the 5 portraits of him I had commissioned so that there was a little canine touch in every room.

looks comfy! may this home bring you good karma.
:)~
It looks very cosy Kitty. I do like a nosy into other people's homes. From the kitchen on a shelf full of whimsies is that a leopard print frame with picture of Saint Sebastian?
It IS comfy... that was the goal!
Mitz... there are 27 Saint Sebastiens in the house currently... more to come... the only room with none at the moment is the Kitchen as I'm trying to find some 'food' or 'utensil' related... what IS on the walls in the kitchen are:
Above the stove: Two Fat Ladies
On the wall on either sid of the fridge: Martha Stewwart and Nigella Lawson
On the wall between the window and door: Ina Garten and Delia Smith
And on the table... Julia Child.
But a good eye otherwise... there ARE leopard print frames!
YOUR PLACE LOOKS GREAT AND COZY!!
I love it.....nice job :)
N@... Santi is ALL ABOUT the big blue sofa... I got him a low chair for under the front window which, yea, he likes.. nut the sofa... It's like a home away from home in his home.
:D
