Birdless Flowers.

Huh? What?

Seems there's a trend a goin' on. (here and here) But it ain't reached my neck of the woods yet. I may just have to take matters into my own hands. You know what they say... a Bird in the hand, is worth two on the deck... - Bah doom boom!

Until that time comes all I can do is show you what my deck looks like. (Milky, I said DECK!)

The upper deck, from the stairs:

Here's Didier catching some rays and reading a book:

Didier still reading:

I'm ready for my close up:

An arial shot of the lower deck:

The Mint garden (mojito bound):

And last but not least, Cederic the Ceder:

Didier desperately wated a tree, so we got one. Then it only seemed fair that something so desired, so wanted, should get a name... so we called him Cederic. Cute no? (Like you could have done better!)

I'd have gone with Peter The Cedar. And think of the fun things you could do with a timmer!!!!!

And might I say that your deck is kinda woody. (Badaboom!)

Neat lookin' place guys!

yes, definatey neat looking. I love the MINT GARDEN! I even see that you have a BBQ - so nothing stopping you from inviting us over for one - right? hehehehahaha I will even bring my own souvlaki.

Milky, you're Incorrigible! Keep it up! HA! get it? Keep it up!? oh never mind! :-)

Maria. We only do Chicken or Lamb Souvlaki. I ASSUME yours are indeed lamb... The mint had been harvested once already! It's essential for a good Mojito. the fresher the mint the better!

Hell I will do souvlaki anything! I like chicken, lamb and pork so you fire up the BBQ and I will bring a bit of each. Tzatziki too!

5:00 PM Friday at your place??

Sean Newbury said...

I make GREAT Tzatziki (if I do say so myself, and I do)

If you start limping now you should be to my place by sunday.
;-)

So are you on good pain killers at least?

Maria said...

I refuse to take any form of medication unless its absolutely necessary. So the answer NO.

The pain was unbearable but I didn't care - when your a woman and you've gone through childbirth any other pain we can tolerate.

P.S: See you Sunday hehehehahaha

Hey, that's a neat deck! - I like how it has a little walkway thingy!

Yay for fun in the sun.

I just started growing mint from seed. They are tiny seedlings right now. So, I can have at least ONE mojito by August 30th. HAH.

No pain releivers!? ARE YOU MAD WOMAN! If I get a hang nail I'm looking for a 222!

Someone's wearing their Ovaries on the outside! ;-)

From seed? That's just plain cra-zay-zee! No ma'am! Takes waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to much time! How ya supposed to keep a nice summer buzz going that way?

We got transplants. They are currently growing about 2 inches a week!

Y'all are gonna come have some of my mint...

Someone gave me a sweet little herb planter and it came with peat and the seeds. So, I figured - what the hey? They are SOOOO tiny right now. I can have a teeny tiny little Mose Persico Mojito!

"a teeny tiny little Mose Persico Mojito"
... good lord that wouldn't get Flea drunk!

Maria said...

maybe not Flea but might work on N@ especially since she been biking to/from work.

You can tell the girl is NOT european if she was she would have been growing that mint in her house from the month of January. Like us! You should see our tomato's and I don't mean to brag (which I am). Our greek oregano is doing amazingly also.

we also have Corn on the freakin' cob growing in our back yard. Hubby's uncle is a landscaper and he gave us some miracle corn seeds which are ONLY distributed to Landscapers from the Landscapping Fairy!

Sean Newbury said...

Well come on woman.... Show us your tomatoes!

Sean Newbury said...

Maria said...

I will show my tomato's once they are ALL in full bloom and I am warning you - YOU gonna be jeloussssssssssssssssssssssss!

Sean Newbury said...

Tomato Envy huh? Well I can't really compete, but I'd sure be a willing spectator in a Tomato-Off 'twixt you and N@.

N@ Lauzon said...

Are you kidding me? I am a first-timer with the tomatoes! I ain't goin' up against a seasoned pro!!

Sean Newbury said...

That's mighty Canadian of you N@

Sheesh!

C'mon! Grow a pair..

... of REALLY AMAZING TOMATOES! ;-)

Maria said...

Was wondering what you were referring to when you said "grow a pair" - Lucky for me I bought a new Calvin Klein push-up bra today and I think I can compete. HAHEHO!

As for the tomatoe's you just wait till July baby and my garden will be just as popular as the Atwater Market.
