C is for Cookie...

...that's good enough for me!

A REAL cookie... not a Margaret Cho cookie!

I'm a total sheep. I'll do any lame 'personality quiz' with a pop culture bent. This one was cute, and as with John (Everything but Poopie) surprisingly accurate! Who are you?

You Are Cookie Monster

Misunderstood as a primal monster, you're a true hedonist with a huge sweet tooth.

You are usually feeling: Hungry. Cookies are preferred, but you'll eat anything if cookies aren't around.

You are famous for: Your slightly crazy eyes and usual way of speaking

How you life your life: In the moment. "Me want COOKIE!"

Extremely serious and a little eccentric, people find you loveable - even if you don't love them!

***OK, that might be true to a point.

You are usually feeling: Logical - you rarely let your emotions rule you

***Actually, the opposite is true. I'm a VERY openly emotional guy... my wife is the logical one who keeps me from flying too far off the handle.

You are famous for: Being smart, a total neat freak, and maybe just a little evil

***I'll take the smart compliment! But my office is a disaster zone, my rec room is a wreck, my clothes aren't ironed and I haven't shaved in 3 days. A little evil? Nah. :)

How you life your life: With passion, even if your odd passions (like bottle caps and pigeons) are baffling to others

***I am passionate... hence the emotional outbursts. But bottle caps and pigeons aren't my thing... consuming the contents of the bottle and then flicking the bottle cap at pigeons is closer to the truth.

(No pigeons were harmed in the writing of this blog post.)

Despite wanting to be Oscar (as outlined on Maria's blog), it seems that like Maria, I'm Big Bird.
Now, I'm not a child of the Sesame Street Generation. I am, however, a child of the Friendly Giant generation ("...and for someone who likes to rock, a rocking chair in the middle."). My limited familiarity with Big Bird leads me to recall that he's a big, dumb retard. I stand to be corrected.

Hey, Kitty! I just noticed that you have For Better or For Worse listed as a daily smile. Ask me sometime about meeting Lynn Johnston, one of the coolest people I've ever met, especially for a celebrity.

I like your description of Big Bird... "a big, dumb retard"

As for The Friendly Giant, I always though Jerome was the COOLEST thing going!

Hey NGB... tell me about meeting Lynn Johnston... :-)

I've always liked FBoFW. I never miss a day.

So Jerome was gay, huh? I'm okay with that.

I never miss a day of FBorFW either. Give me a few minutes, and I'll post something about Lynn on my blog. (Notice I'm on a first-name basis with her? :)

As Tallulah Bankhead once replied when asked if an acquaintance of hers was gay...

"I don't know, darling - he never sucked my cock"

... So... Was Jerome gay? I really don't know... but I'm sure there was something happening on the other side of that stone wall...

And now back to our regularily scheduled reply...

So you know Lynn huh? Cool! Can't wait to read...

I met Ben Wicks back in the eighties. I think he was a little surprised that a 14 year old knew who he was...

Scoot on over to . I have posted a lengthy version of how I know Lynn Johnston.

Yeah, you gotta wonder about a grown man who makes his living with one hand stuck up a rooster's ass, and the other up a giraffe's ass. That's just sick!

I think we just made Friendly Giant roll over in his giant grave. Speaking of Friendly, have you ever noticed there was never any Friendly Giant merchandise, like lunch boxes, Rusty and Jerome action figures, etc.? Bob Homme (Friendly) never allowed it, because he didn't want to commercialize his show, and detract from its comfortable approach to young kids. He's also known for hiding, when a kids' group would come through CBC Toronto on a tour, so as not to kill the image of him really being a giant. I wish I had known Mr. Homme. I think he was probably a super Dad and Grandpa.
