Are you freakin' kidding me?!

Honestly I don't understand stories like this at all!

Not only should that child have been removed from parental custody, but after reading this:

"According to police, the father became aggressive when the officers admonished him for leaving his child in the car.

The father told them he had done it before and didn't appreciate lessons in parenting. "

I think sterilization should be required. *Snip Snip* you dead beat, sorry excuse for a human being.
Can't wait to hear the mother's reaction...

A $400 fine? That'll teach 'em. I be they spent more than that at the dinner theatre they attended. Unbelievable. Bad enough to leave a baby in the car when you run in to the corner store, but an entire evening in zero degree weather while you enjoy a show?

people like this FREAK ME RIGHT OUT!

Yea, $400 Poor them. I guess this will really teach them...

Saddly, next time they'll probably throw a blanket over the baby so it won't be seen...

Things like this really turn my stomach!

Maybe the "Me Generation" has gone a bit too far when they don't want to shell out for a sitter.

Good thing I wasn't that cop.
I'd be out of a job and probably up on assault charges right now.
I hope youth protection actually does something for the sake of the future safety of this child.

extremist that i am,
i would simply shoot the s.o.b.,
thus making sure he wouldn't do it again, since he claimed at having it done before...
maybe this way,
the child would stand a better chance at survival, be it at the hands of child services (!!!...)
but then,
it's just me,
all extreme measures & all!!!

This is what I detest about our society.

They throw the book at people who "work under the table" and I know that because I was a juror once and the justice system practically castrated a dude who was doing that. However, people who leave infants in cars ALONE get slapped with a fine, how fair is that?

Geeeeeeeez, thanks for getting me all rattled Kitty!

Perhaps a tad extreme TB, but I certainly feel that raw rage as well. At work many of the parents were expressing their outrage as well! I damn well hope that these yahoos are reeled in on this.

extreme, you say???
the prick admitted at having done this previously on more than one occasion.
how likely is it he'll do it again, hoping to not getting caught...
very likely!!!
he failed to grasp his responsabilities toward this child, & the ignomity of his gesture...
extreme, you say, hey???
:)~
i say,
if you want to procreate,
understand what it means, the sacrifices you've got to make, & the organisation it implies.
it's not like something that you buy off the shelf at walmart's & simply return when it breaks, to get another.
there's just no respect for life...

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to personally be the person to off him, but I really do't think killing him is the right tactic here. I'd rather make an example.

Aside from the obvious of taking the child away, I think placing him in an adult sized, child seat in the back of a car for oh, I don't know 2-3 days... that's got to be about equal to what the 2-3 hours the infant were left alone in the car... at least in the eyes of the infant. Have it be in late Fall and not give him more than one diaper, a pair of socks and a single layer of cotton pants and shirt. Then lock the door and leave. Return in one week and "gee, I'm sure the little guy will be ok, I mean we locked the doors so no one could take him." check on him. See how he likes it...

THEN... have him wash diapers for a couple of months in an hospital for sick kids...

That would at least be a start...

you may have a deal!!!
my condition:
keep the straps tight enough that he can't move & shift position. therefore, in no time, he'd developped "bedsores"......
trust me, those can be so nasty,
when necrosis begins, it stinks, & it hurts like hell.
he'd remember this for sure...
(was i an extremist again??)
:D~
what about those kids that raced last night at ile perrot, in a residential sector, & killed a young girl, that was PLAYING IN HER OWN BACKYARD!!!!!!!!!!!...
i will spare you my comment about this...
:(~

Brandon Pardi, the 18 year old involved in the accident, his dad works at Air Canada. Poor Peter Pardi (the dad) he is such a good man. Being a mother I can not imagine what all the parties involved are going through. However, the young girls parents are definately in my thoughts & prayers. Things like this just SHOULD NOT happen.

I explain to my son everyday how one stupid mistake/choice can totally devestate and change your life forever, its so important for our youngsters to know this very early on, if it can save just one life it would be well worth it.
